I have to say I almost passed up this bundle in the new holiday catalog. However 1) I love punches and that gets me almost every time and 2) there was a free pack of designer series paper that I loved that coordinated with this set.

Christmas Cards

How are doing on your Christmas Cards?  Me, not quite done or started yet!  lol.  You would think that I do this stuff all the time, I would have them in the mail right, uhhhh, not quite.  I will make my cards, I will mail them....sometime before Christmas!  I have been making Christmas cards here and there though for classes, to sell and to gift.  However, just not my own family and friends cards.

Getting ready for Christmas

 

Hello Everyone!

 

It's the holiday season. I know it gets busy and hectic....but I hope you all take a little time to create. After all adding a handmade touch makes a card or gift extra special, right?! I am trying to stay away from the madness and do what I love.  Eventually I'll buy gifts and do all the other stuff. For now, I'm going to enjoy one of my favorite things...making Christmas crafts! 

 Last month I had my Christmas Club/Class and we had a great time creating Christmas projects.

If you know me you know I love to make fifty items. Here is a super simple one for ghiradelli chocolates.

25 Days #5: Bright & Beautiful Star

Hello,

Thanks for stopping by for another holiday card.  This card features the Bright & Beautiful stamp set and coordinating Stars Framelits.  The greeting is from Wondrous Wreath.  It is a pretty simple card, but I think the big star and the colors make it stunning in person.  How do you like the colors?!  Personally, I am a Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Christmas person....however, these colors are growing on me.  Let me know what you think.

25 Days # 4: Festival of Trees

Welcome back for another holiday project.  Today's card features the Festival of Trees stamp set.  This project was a CASE and I loved the use of the Cherry Cobbler and the neutrals.  I usually stick to traditional colors for Christmas, but this one caught my eye.

Okay, now I am really in the Christmas mood!  Thanksgiving is done, we have our tree and I have started to take out the Christmas decorations!  Oh, and I also took a picture for our Christmas card.  I always do a handstamped card and add a photo for family and close friends.  So I had a great weekend.

I choose this Be Merry Card for today's post because it is one of my favorites so far this year.  I cased this card (or a similar version) from someone out in the SU blog world! You cannot see the details on the photo, but it is stamped and embossed in white (using the Be Merry single stamp).  I also added some burlap and ribbon for an extra dimension.  What do you think?

Hello Again!

Here is another quick post (I hope to ressume to more details on Monday).  This card was created (and/or CASED) from my friend and fellow demo Alisha.  We made it at last Luv2Stamp Skype Meeting and Get together.  I love the font of the greeting (from the single stamps list) and message.  This weekend we will start our annual holiday traditions and the card seemed fitting for our special events (tree cutting, decorating...)

Now to the project... This card was made with the Envelope Punch Board from Stampin' Up! I had ordered the Envelope Punch Board a little after it was released but I hadn't had a chance to make these very trendy and popular File Folder Cards....until this weekend.  I had a get together/meeting with some friends and Stampin' Up! Demos and one of them Jamie Garrett brought this card for our shoebox swap.  Isn't it pretty?!  Thanks Jamie!  This card features the Festive Flurry bundle too.   Contact me if you want to find out more about the Envelope Punch Board.  The original purpose is to make envelopes, but many talented demos have used it for so many other things.

Okay, to today's project.  My friend and upline Carrie created (or maybe CASED ;) this card for a get together/meeting we had this weekend.  I love her use of non-traditional colors and a funky stamp set.  Best of all, she had the project set up for us.  It is rare that I get to make projects prepped by others....it's really fun stamping when everything is set up for you!  I do that for my clubs and classes, but it is a treat when someone does it for me ;) 

This card is a great example of using your stamps for a variety of uses.  I have used the Mosaic Madness stamp set used in this card for birthday and thank you cards, but not for Christmas.  Here are the details:

Cute and Simple Card and Tag

I held a workshop at a friend's house this weekend and had a great time meeting lots of new people.  A few of them were new to stamping and seemed to have a great time.  I realize that new stampers sometimes get overwhelmed by all of the wonderful products that Stampin' Up! offers and it seems like a lot to take in at once...believe me I understand!  I try to make some cards and projects with you in mind to help you do some beginner projects, that are simple and beautiful to make.

So after my daughter's school pick up a couple people mentioned that they wanted to make tags.  Do, I brainstormed Christmas tags and came up with a simple tag (to right) and a matching card (on left) that anyone can make.  You need a few basic supplies for these projects.

Fall Vendor Fair

Hello!

 

Today I participated in a Fall Vendor Sale.  As you can see from the above table, I took lots of stuff!  My table had no room on it when I was done setting up! lol  Overall, it was a good event.  I focused my handmade items on small gifts, cards and card sets.  The things that sold best were the gift items.  I think we are all looking for small gifts this time of year for neighbors, coworkers and other people we want to give a "little something" to.  I do have some left over, so please contact me if you would like to order any.  I will gladly calculate shipping and try to be efficient (and as cheap as possible) with shipping.

Katie's Workshop

I'm back to blogging....I never stop stamping, but sometimes posting on my blog doesn't happen!

I had so much fun today at Katie's Stampin' Party in Elk Grove, CA!  It was fun and chatting with new people while we stamped and learned about stamping techniques.   When the ladies first arrived they had this little favor on each seat.  Inside was the supplies they needed for day, including their make and take materials.  Plus, they got to take home their baggies to reuse.  Wouldn't this be a cute gift card holder?  These cute little bags come in sets of 10 for $3.95 and I added a tag using my new FAVORITE stamp set; Chalk Talk.

This simple and cute card featured the Label Love bundle (love the bundle discount!). 

Katie requested a birthday and a Christmas card...so I eagerly created a Christmas card.  I love Christmas.  This card was cased from Monica Gale.  She created a card like this, I just modified it a tiny bit.  It features the Snow Day stamp set.  I love the fact that you can use this stamp set with the snow man or like this card, using the other little stamps.

Overall, I think everyone had a good time....I know I did!  I love getting the chance to do workshops and meet new people.  Want to host a stamping party?! ...online or in-home- It's easy.  I bring all the materials for 2 make and takes and teach your friends all about stamping.  Plus, the hostess gets free stuff!  Tonight she earned $40 in free merchandise!!  Contact me at mayramt@hotmail.com to learn more. 

Stampin Up Convention 2013 Swaps

One of the highlights of Convention is getting TONS of new creative ideas.  I signed up for three swaps this year: Wow/Moving Cards Swap, New Catalog Stamp Sets Swap, and of course, a Christmas swap (I love Christmas!).  I like to do organized swaps because I feel that everyone is on somewhat the same page of how much effort to put into them and there are guidelines.  Overall, I was really happy with the swaps I made and got in return.

Twelve Days of Christmas: Day 6

Well, I'm not sure if I have been on track with the days, but I hope you have enjoyed seeing WAY more projects than I normally post.  I have! 

I CASED this from several people, I can't remember who the original person was or if I even seen the original one....but I loved it!  It's a card and a holder.  On the outside it looks like a coffee cup and on the inside you can add a little coffee treat (I added Starbucks Vias) or a gift card!  If you have coffee lovers in your life I think this one is great.

Northern Flurry

Hello Friends,

I know it has been a while since I have posted.  Life has gotten so busy for me.  I am ALWAYS stamping, but don't always post things as often as I want.  I hope to provide you with some creative ideas in next few weeks for the holidays. 

This was a super easy card that I recently made.  I used the Northern Flurry Textured embossing folder with my Big Shot, stamped some snowflakes from the Northern Flurry hostess set in Bashful Blue, added some rinestones, ribbon and a greeting.   I love embossing folders!  They add such a professional touch to paper crafts.
