My Quick & Easy Notecard with Color & Contour Stampin' Up! Bundle

I love a quick and easy card. But sometimes, I want an even quicker and easier way to add a note to someone's package, lunch, work inbox, or teacher folder. This is my basic go to when I need something nicer than a post-it note. I have seen many people make notecards similar to this. This is my take on the template.

Here is what you need:
  • one sheet of color cardstock 5.5 x 4.25
  • basic white cardstock layered at 5.25x4
  • little designer series paper (4 x 1.5)
  • stamps and coloring tools of your choice (I used 2021-2023 Stampin' Markers and the color & contour stamps)

I will be making another batch of these in holiday themes, perhaps school theme and anything else I can think of! Click on this link to see the Color & Contour stamp set on my webstore!

Coolest Card with Penguin Place Stamp Set

I have to say I almost passed up this bundle in the new holiday catalog. However 1) I love punches and that gets me almost every time and 2) there was a free pack of designer series paper that I loved that coordinated with this set.

First Christmas Card of the Year with Joyful Life Stamp Set!

There is nothing better than staying indoors on a hot day and making Christmas cards in the summer!  I know some of you think it is way to early for Christmas. I feel that way to sometimes when I go to a store at this time of the year and see Halloween items or Fall items. However, this is when Stampin' Up! releases it's holiday catalog and so naturally I want new things and have fun making new projects. I love all fall holidays, but Christmas and Thanksgiving are my favorite.

This stamp set, Joyful Life really caught my eye. I love the cheerful images and especially the little piggy with the coffee. This was first in my list to create with.

Coloring with Jar of Flowers Bundle by Stampin' Up!

I have always said that stamping is a form of therapy. It is relaxing and gets your mind off of things and into the project in front of you. I always look forward to my monthly gatherings too and enjoy having the relaxation of stamping with the joy of friends. Since we can't gather right now, it is especially important to do things that are good for us and help us relax and unwind. I didn't always like coloring, however, lately I love it and need it!

I was very excited to see the Jar of Flowers bundle in the Stampin' Up! new catalog. I thought it was very pretty and allow me to make my favorite cards, easy, fun, fast and have a big wow factor. I featured two easy coloring techniques in the video below- coloring with stampin' write markers and with watercolor pencils. In the video I show you the difference between the two. As you can see from the picture I featured, I like the bold colors and chose to highlight the markers! You can decide for yourself. If you enjoy coloring and shading and adding dimension to coloring, check out the Stampin' Blends. They are great for that. I prefer (or shall I say, I am better at) simple coloring!

To help you get started, or jump back into stamping, or just to help with the prep work of projects, I am featuring a promotion. You can only get this promotion with me, it is for a limited time and hopefully supplies don't run out (so order early)! Check out the picture below for the details.

Happy Stampin!

Beautiful Day Card with Stampin' Blends- with a quick video tutorial!

I know that coloring is the new thing these day.  In most stores you can find coloring books for adults with fancy markers.  I typically don't like coloring... until now!  I decided to try the new Stampin' Blends by Stampin' Up!  They are thicker than the regular markers and juicier.  I really enjoyed them.  I liked how smooth they were to use.  I paired them up with my new favorite, Beautiful Day, stamp set and easily made a couple of cards.  I doubt I will buy a detailed coloring book, that is way too much coloring for me.  But this flower and the butterfly in this stamp set are the perfect amount of coloring for me.  The one above is a card I made for my stamp club in February. I can see myself doing some coloring with these.

Do you like those fast paced recipe videos?  I love watching the "Tasty" videos on Facebook.  Have you seen them? I decided to make a video making this card in the "tasty" style.  Take a look!

Picture Perfect Birthday Sneak Peak

I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and your New Year's celebrations.  I am very excited for 2018 and welcome it with open arms!  On my resolutions list are the usual....eat better, lose weight, be more organized.....blah blah blah!  What I really want to do is make more time for stamping and my Stampin' Up! business. Fall semester is always super busy for me, but Spring on the other hand is much lighter.  So I placed a nice pre-order of new Occasions Catalog items to have to enjoy.

On the top of my pre-order list was the Picture Perfect Party Suite.  I love the fonts, the designer series paper, the colors and the fun stamped images.  It is perfect for me.  Above are a few projects I made with it. Below are some sneak peaks from the new Catalog available 1/3.

Enjoy!

Getting Organized with the Love Today Planner Kit

Hello All!

I hope you are enjoying the end of your summer.  If you have kids, or are in education, you are gearing up for another school year. While I love summer and relaxed scheduled, I also love routines and being organized.  Another thing I love, school supplies!  I enjoy buying office stuff, pretty pens, post its....and planners.

I was SOOOOOO excited when Stampin' Up! came out with their very own planner.  For me it's the best of both worlds, pretty paper products and a paper planner which I love. The planner was the first thing I purchased from the new catalog when it was released in June.  I love how pretty it is.

Sending Lots of Love- One Layer Card

I love making cards, but I especially love making simple and stunning cards.  You know, those that are simple to make, but so beautiful.  The kind that you can easily make a stack of in no time! Today's project is one of those cards.  When I first got the catalog I was drawn to this stamp set because of the beautiful font.  I loved the look of it.  However, I questioned whether or not I would have use for it.  Now, after I have made lots, I can say I am using these cards for lots of things- just because, to send photos, or even as a birthday card.  I made a quick video with this card to show you how easy it was to make.

Take a look!

The Holiday Catalog is here!  Click on the link on the right side bar to see it now!

I have got to admit, usually by mid- July I have ordered most of my holiday items and have started brainstorming what I want to make and have mass produced some projects to swap at Convention.  Well, this year with the baby and no convention I am behind! LOL Okay, not really.  It is only September which means I have plenty of time.  I think the key to Handmade Holiday projects is to plan and start early....especially before December comes around.  So, I have put together a list of my favorite items from the Holiday Catalog to help get your mind thinking of holiday projects.

My favorites (see below for links to the products):
  • Jingle al the Way Bundle: I love making photo Christmas cards.  No, not the kind you buy at Costco, although those are cute too.  I like to make handmade cards with a photo in them ;)  Take a look at the photo card on page 12 to see what I mean and what I will probably be making for my family.  This was my favorite sample from the catalog.  Plus, they look easy to make!

  • Witching Décor Hat: The picture speaks for itself....It is SO CUTE  and would look great in my home!

  • Oh What Fun Tag Project Kit: I always run out of time to make tags.  This kit will make is super easy for me to make them and they are ADORABLE!

  • Embellished Ornaments: These look gorgeous with foil paper!

  • A Corny Thank You: Who doesn't love acorns, plus I love making thank you cards.

  • Peaceful Pines: Christmas Trees are cute, that's it! lol

  • Flurry of Wishes bundle: I have to make snowflake projects each winter and this one comes with a coordinating punch!

  • Lighthearted Leaves: I love fall projects and like I mentioned above LOVE making thank you cards and thank you card gift packs.

  • Spider Web Doiles: These are adorable and will dress up any Halloween project.

  • Howl-o-Ween Treat: I love owl stamps and this one is too cute!  Plus this is an easy stamp, cute and assemble set.

Let me know what your favorites are....or if you want me to mail you a catalog!  I am booking Fall Private classes now, so contact me if you are interested.  I bring all the materials and you and your friends have fun stamping....it is casual, fun and easy!

Take Care,

Sooooo....it is my BIRTHDAY today!!  Woohoo!! Okay, actually not so exciting to get older, but another year is always something to be grateful for and celebrate.

Above one of the cards I received today in the "mail"....yes, USPS mail!  I love getting fun mail.  LOVE it, LOVE it!  I think that it is the little things like opening up a card that bring joy (especially when you are going through bills normally!).  So naturally, I was excited to open this one up from my stampin' friend Jamie Garrett.  I love that she included a book mark in my card.  I will totally CASE that idea.  Thanks, Jamie!!

Here are a few stampin' gifts I received from my friend Alisha Williams.

Alisha, dropped this card, card set and cute little notebook for me on my doorstep.  She is super sweet and constantly does little surprises like this.  The first one is a card using Another Great Year, the second set included all of the cards in the adorable box, and the last one was a notebook made using a clear stamp case that Stampin' Up! sells.  I love these notebooks, because they are cute and I can toss them in my purse and the clear case protects it.  Thanks, Alisha!!
