Fall Vendor Fair

Hello!

 

Today I participated in a Fall Vendor Sale.  As you can see from the above table, I took lots of stuff!  My table had no room on it when I was done setting up! lol  Overall, it was a good event.  I focused my handmade items on small gifts, cards and card sets.  The things that sold best were the gift items.  I think we are all looking for small gifts this time of year for neighbors, coworkers and other people we want to give a "little something" to.  I do have some left over, so please contact me if you would like to order any.  I will gladly calculate shipping and try to be efficient (and as cheap as possible) with shipping.

Altered Mini Coffee Cups- SU style!

 

 

 

Hello!

I saw a project on Becky Roberts blog that I fell in love with....Mini Coffee Cups dazzled with Stampin' Up! designer series paper (DSP) and stamps!  She stated she got the idea from Deb Valder's blog.  So right away I searched for the mini cups, found some inexpensive 100 packs on Amazon and could not wait to create!  I filled these with a few choclates covered in matching DSP, added a little raffia and viola!- a cute little favor or gift. 

What do you think?!  Measurements can be found on the link above...although I cut her template a little bigger to give the cup better coverage.

Convention Gifts

Hello!

This is convention week! One of the fun things I did before leaving home was make a couple of convention gifts for my roommates. I did a notepad cover made from a file folder for extra firmness and a little goodie bag. I used the Floral District DSP and Betsys Blooms stamps to dress then up. I'll bring you more pictures and highlights as I can.

Everyday Enchantment Card Set

One of the reasons I became a SU demonstrator was because I had a friend (now my upline) that always made and gave the most beautiful handstamped gifts.  Before I joined she gave me a little box filled with 3x3 mini cards.  I loved it!  I have been searching ever since for the template on how to recreate it.  I never found it, but used the little box (from 5 years ago!) to figure out the measurements.  Here it is!- with the new Everyday Enchantment DSP that as you know I LOVE! 

If you want to make it here is the recipe and instructions. 

To Make Box:

Use 8x11 sheet of cardstock

·        On long side, score at: ½”, 4 “ , 5 ¾” , 9 ¼ “

·        On short side, score at: 1, 2 ¾ “ , 6 ¼ “

For best results, use sticky tape to glue box together.

Gift Card Holder

This is a simple gift card holder I made for my club last month. To make the inside slot I used the Wide Oval Punch and punched a half oval. I glued the inside flap using sticky strip. Sticky strip is the best adhesive choice for boxes, gift card holders, and other gift type items. It is more durable. The outer ribbon was tied in a tight bow after glueing the scallop edge and DSP.

Coworker Gift Idea #3: SU Treat Boxes

Good Morning!

I hope you are enjoying your cup of coffee, I am! Here is another coworker gift idea. Sorry, about the bad picture quality. My camera sucks! I hope Santa reads my blog and see that I depserately want a new camera for Christmas ;)

Okay, the gift: SU Treat Box.

This is what Rachel Ray would call "semi-homemade". First you buy these boxes from SU. They are inexpensive 3.95/for 5, # 115690. The come plain like this:

Then you add some ribbon and a cute tag. You can fill this with anything: choclate, baked goods, a gift card, jewlry or another small item. Here is what I am going to do. I am going to buy a buy jug of choclate covered almonds from my local warehouse store for $8.99. Put some choclate almonds in clear baggies, maybe add a baked item...and voila... a good coworker gift.

Coworker Gift Idea #2: Stamped Candles

Here is my "Coworker" Gift idea #2: Stamped Candles! Grab a cup of coffee and read on...

In case you didn't read my last post, here is my definition for coworker gift. By Coworker Gift I also mean neighbor, teacher, friend, classmate, or any other person you want to give a little something to without spending too much money.

Okay, to todays project. All you need for this project is a heat tool, stamps, ink, wax paper and tissue paper. I further embelleshed this candle by adding a piece of cardstock at the base of the candle with a ribbon tied on it. The candle holder cost me $1.50 at a local discount store and the candle cost me $1.50 at a local grocery discount store. I look for deals!

In a nutshell, to make this project you stamp your images on tissue paper, cut it out, lay it onthe candle, wrap a strip of wax paper over the candle and then use the heat gun to set the image.

Coworker Gift Idea #1: Handmade Treat Boxes

Hello Everyone,

I am so sick this week, but not too sick to think about stampin'!

All week I am featuring "Coworker Gifts". But, when I say Coworker I also mean- neighbor, teacher, friend, basically anyone you want to show your appreciation to this holiday season without spending too much money.

Here is a project that I love to make. It is a treat box that is big enough to fit baked goods, choclate, or another small gift. This box has a nice wow-you made this factor and is the perfect size to fill with treats. To make this box all you need is:

• Cardstock
• Paper Cutter w/scoring blade
• adhesive
• scallop edge punch
• ribbon

I also used the following to make the snowflake tag to go on the front of it:

• Circle punches
• Serene Snowflakes stamp set
• Rinestone brad
• Scallop Circle punch

Altered Clipboards

I created these Altered Clipboards after seeing them on another stampers blog, Angie K. Judda. I love having "pretty" things and clipboards are so ugly it was nice to pretty these up. Believe it or not, but it makes using them funner. It is kindof like buying cool kitchen gadgets and enjoying cooking with them when you don't like to cook that much. Anyway...here is the link to the video tutorial I followed to make these. Let me know how it goes for you.

Post It Holder & Pen Set

I love to make cute, inexpensive gifts. This post it holder and pen set was made as a give away for my workshops last month. The post it holders were made using cardboard coasters (pretty inexpensive) and the pens are RSVP pens covered with DSP, Sticky paper, a heat gun and microbeads from SU.

Altered Candle

This is a good quick and easy gift idea. I bought inexpenive candles and candle holders covered the candle in Card Stock and Designer Series Paper added a ribbon and VOILA!- a quick and easy gift. For an extra special touch you can wrap it in cello and put a bow to tie the top.

Bath Salts Gift Tin

I love making things that are good for gifts or favors. Here is a bath salt tin that I made at my friend Carrie's house last week. The tin was a nut tin that she had saved (so resourceful!) and the bath salts were mixed by her.
