Grateful Week Project 4: Thanks Card

Hello,

Welcome back to my Grateful Week Project 4.  This one is a simple card I made using some DSP (designer series paper) and some ink and paper.  I made this with a man in mind so kept my lines clean and no ribbon!  haha  What do you think?!  This stamp comes in a set with a birthday stamp that would be great for a masculine birthday card.

Grateful Week Project #2: Grateful For You Card

Here is my Grateful Project #3.  I love making Grateful cards!  Usually I stick to traditional fall colors, browns and oranges.  So this is way out of the box for me! lol  I used my favorite fall set this year, For All Things.  I love the leaves and coordinating stamps.

Simple Stems for Easter

 

There is something about this card I love.  I cased this card from someone (sorry, bad memory)- I wish I remembered who.  I just love the way the this card has neutral colors and then the Simple Stems flower pops.  I liked it so much that I have been stamping and cutting tons of these flowers to make spring card sets to give with some Easter gifts.  What do you think?

Fall Vendor Fair

Hello!

 

Today I participated in a Fall Vendor Sale.  As you can see from the above table, I took lots of stuff!  My table had no room on it when I was done setting up! lol  Overall, it was a good event.  I focused my handmade items on small gifts, cards and card sets.  The things that sold best were the gift items.  I think we are all looking for small gifts this time of year for neighbors, coworkers and other people we want to give a "little something" to.  I do have some left over, so please contact me if you would like to order any.  I will gladly calculate shipping and try to be efficient (and as cheap as possible) with shipping.

Truly Grateful Card

This was the second project we made at this weekend's Stampin Party at Kathy's.  Her special request was a fall project, so this is what I came up with.  I created a Quick and Cute card that gave a nice "wow", but was fairly easy to make. 

Here is the recipe:

Stamps: Truly Grateful, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip, and Soft Suede
Paper: Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Natural Trim Ribbon

I received the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for free at Convention.  Honestly, when I seen it in the catalog I didn't like it, but now I love it.  It is a great set to use in the background or in place of the spritzer for some splashes of colors.

Twelve Days of Christmas: Day 6

Well, I'm not sure if I have been on track with the days, but I hope you have enjoyed seeing WAY more projects than I normally post.  I have! 

I CASED this from several people, I can't remember who the original person was or if I even seen the original one....but I loved it!  It's a card and a holder.  On the outside it looks like a coffee cup and on the inside you can add a little coffee treat (I added Starbucks Vias) or a gift card!  If you have coffee lovers in your life I think this one is great.

Twelve Days of Christmas: Day 3

Hello!

It's day 3!  This one is a direct case from the Holiday Catalog, page 9.  I used Frosty Friends for the stamp and colored in the image with some Stampin' Markers.  I added some extras like embossing and a border for extra texture.  One trick I used on this card was the rounded edge of the whisper white.  I just used a plate to trace and cut the round edge as curvy as I wanted.  No tools, just some tracing!

Twelve Days of Christmas: Day 1

So today is 12/12/12 and something big is supposed to happen, right?!  Well, I am not sure if I believe in that, but I thought it would be fun to do something in honor of 12/12/12 and I came up with my very first:  Twelve Days of Christmas.  So for 12 days I will post some sort of Christmas project for you on this blog.  What do you think?!  May of my favorite blogs do things like this so I thought I would try it this year.  So for those who have not finished your Christmas projects, I hope to spark a little creativity in you to create fun Christmas projects. 

Here is my Day 1 project.  I took the Festival of Prints DSP Stack and cut strips of DSP in 1/2 wide strips and cut different sizes to form a tree.  I also rounded the corners.  You can round corners with a corner rounder punch (retired) or a circle punch (just put in your corner from the top, one sheet at a time).  If you don't have a star punch, do it the old fashion way by tracing a star (you can find one in clip art in word or MDS) and cut it out :)  This was super easy to do and with the right stamp it finished off my quick and easy card.

Peace on Earth

This is one of the cards we made at last nights stamp club. The white embossed card really matched up well with the dark and sparkly snowflake. It was really simple to make.

My Talented Friend Myong

Well, when they say the student surpases the master (or some saying like that!), they are right!  When I first joined Stampin' Up!  I was going to be strictly a hobby demonstrator (just using the discount, nothing business).  Then I decided to do a "couple" things, then I started my first stamp club....and that's when I was hooked! 

 

One of my first Stamp Club members was Myong. I knew her from my local MOMS club and invited her to join.  She had never stamped, scrapbooked, or done anything crafty- according to her ;)  Ha!...she could have fooled me!  She instantly loved stampin and continued with my club for 4 years, until she joined Stampin' Up! and my downline team. 

 

As my downline member, I invite her to come to my club nights to join in on the fun, get ideas, and to chat.  She always bring projects to share and every time we are all "oohhing and ahhing" over her creations.  I asked her for permission to post a few and she agreed.  I love her elegant style and how she puts so much beautiful detail in her projects. 

 

A few notes on the projects:

Card below: This card features the Postage Due stamp set.

 

Owl: This is an adorable treat box made with lots of circle punches, oval punches, a heart punch and the Top Note Big Shot die.  Isn't it cute!!

Moving Forward- Blimpie Card

Hello,

Here is another card using the Moving Forward stamp set.  This is my current FAVORITE set.  I love the design and that it supports a good cause.  As I mentioned yesterday, this is the Ronald McDonald stamp set for the year.  Stampin' Up! donate $3 to the Ronald McDonald McDonald House for each stamp set purchased. 

For the "clouds", I cased this idea, but can't remember from who.  To make the clouds I used a circle punch and punched a few circles in a T shape.  I'll try to follow up with instructions on a later post if I have anyone that is interested.
