My lifesaver....best product that is not a stamp!

 

 

I had my daughters 8th birthday party this weekend.  It was a carnival theme and that meant we had lots of details to do and create.  I bought the kids cotton candy pails as take home treats and then realized I wanted to add something else just in case some kids with allergies couldn't have it. LONG story, short....it was the night before and I needed a quick goodie box.  So I went to my ALL TIME FAVORITE, LIFESAVING product...Tag A Bag Gift Boxes. I didn't take a picture (darn!) before I gave them out, but they were simple and cute and worked.  I wrapped them in yellow and white carnival themed DSP and voila I had treat boxes!

Here is how they come, kraft boxes with acetate sleeves.  They are really heavy duty and cheap...for about $1 each in packs of 8. 

 

Here are several projects I have done with them.  I love doing treats for teachers, staff, friends, kids, and anyone else I can think of.  All you have to do is wrap them with DSP (designer series paper) and  some ribbon, add a tag and your set.

This one was my very first!  I made these last year for my daughters 7th birthday (bike theme). 

 

Can you tell I love these?!  Seriously, they are super easy and give a WOW factor!  Try them for your next birthday, holiday, baby shower, bridal shower, Christmas, ........you get the idea right!

Back to School Treats

 

Hello,

 

Can you believe summer is almost over ?!  It is definitely bitter sweet for me.  I love the flexibility of summer and the slower mornings and days.  At the same time I like structure and routines.  Either way, I will miss my girls company as they transition back in. 

 

Today I had a Back to School Mini Album Class and we made some bonus Back to School Treats.  It was a lot of fun playing with the Playground Project Life Card Collection and creating the cute little tags on the boxes above.  We just picked the cards we liked and used the 2 1/2 circle punch to punch them out.  Added those to some Tag a Bag Gift Boxes with a little ribbon and DSP and voila...cute little treat boxes.  I love, love, love the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes, they are inexpensive ($6.95 for 8!) and so easy.  I have used these for party favors, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter.....every holiday!

 

 

The second treat we made was a rolo "pencil".  These are also simple and made with So Saffron cardstock, embossed with stripes and a touch of silver paper.  What do you think?!

Holiday Catalog Showcase #1: DSP

 

One of my favorite things on the new holiday catalog is the new Designer Series Paper packs. I love the fall colors! And when I think about Halloween and Thanksgiving I think about food and treats. So today's projects are some easy treat holders I made using some pretzel bags and Hershey's chocolates.

Here is what you need:

- 1 7/8 x 4 1/4 Cardstock for backing (score it at 1/4 on both long sides)

- 4 strips of DSP at 1x3 each

- sticky strip (use a small piece to close the DSP onto the chocolate wrapper)

And of course the chocolate, bags and the stamps and ink you want to use.

Pretty simple right?! In person they look really cute and people love them.
