Kindness Matters

Hello Everyone,

I have been doing so many projects with the Sale-a-Bration 2012 paper and sets lately, that I thought I would take a BRIEF break from those projects to make a different Sale-A-Bration project.  This card features a free item that is in the SAB catalog, but also in the main Idea Book and Catalog.  I have had my eye on this stamp set for a while and quickly selected it as a free SAB item as soon as I was able to. 

This card is a partial-case from the SAB catalog.  In the SAB catalog, they featured this paper pleated ribbon technique I used on this card.  I tried it on mine and added a few of my own touches.  It really gives some depth to the card and has a nice WOW factor in person.  All I did was put snail on the back edge of my Cherry Cobbler cardstock and glued and pleated the strip of Soft Suede CS (punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch) the whole way across the paper.  It is up to you how "pleated" you want your paper ribbon.

Fancy Favor Christmas Gifts

Hello Ladies,

It has been a busy, busy last few weeks for me.   I have been doing a lot of stamping and making Christmas gifts for collegues and family.  My project this week was making goody bags for the men that work for us.  I made these cute bags using the Fancy Favor Big Shot die.  I love this die!!  Isn't it pretty?!  I added the Early Expresso ribbon to the bags.  I think it really adds a masculine touch, don't you?  I was able to squeeze in some gift cards in these.  They are also perfect to fill with choclate or other small gifts. 

More holiday projects in the next few days!

New Catalog Sneak Peak: Perfect Punches & Vintage Wallpaper

I hope you are all having a great Saturday! I have been enjoying a relaxing day, doing almost nothing. Those are the best!

Last night I was finally able to play around with my new catalog goodies. Here is a card I made using some new colors: Marina Mist and Early Espresso (also shown Old Olive and Crumb Cake). The stamp I used for this card is also from the new catalog, it is called Perfect Punches. Lastly, I used the new embossing folder (for the Big Shot) called Vintage Wallpaper. I love embossing folders! They are so easy to use and really add a "WOW" factor to cards.
