3 Quick and Cute Valentine Treats

Valentine's Day is around the corner and these days it's a much bigger deal than I remember when I was growing up! I think for couples it remains the same. However, Valentines Day for kids is at a whole new level! At my kids school, no one gives the simple tear off cards I remember. Now it's full on Pinterest copy cat projects, goodie bags, or at the very minimum a candy taped to the card! Lol

As extreme as I think it is....it is also in good fun, and of course I am one of those moms too!! Lol I love to make 3d gifty items, so any excuse works for me!

Here are a few quick projects you can make this week:

This is a ghiradelli candy holder. It's super easy to make. Take some card stock or designer series paper, cut at 6x3 and score at long side at 2 3/4 and 3 1/4. Embellish with ribbon and some stamps and your done!

Cello bags with a cute topper are also super cute and easy! This is one of Stampin' Up!'s 4x6 cello bags with an inch cut off the top. For the topper you can use any decorative shape. I used SU's deco label framelits (the largest size). Added some ribbon and a stamped and punched image from stamp set Groovy Love and done! Oh, don't forget the raffia to help fill your bag! Lol

Lastly, this is my go to easy treat. It's called a cottage cheese container. It's super easy to make. Take DSP in a 4x6 size or any other rectangle size. Glue it together to make the shape of a tube. I use SU's tear tape because it is stronger than regular adhesive. Glue your bottom, add your goodies, then glue the top to shape a cottage cheese container. Embellish and your done!

I love to hear about your projects! What are you making for valentines Day!?!

Preschool Valentine's 2010

So this project is a little late, but I decided to post it anyway.  Here are the Valentines that my girls and I made for their Preschool Classes.  We made 50 of these!  Luckily the box was easy to do with the Fancy Favor Big Shot Die so it went by quickly (kindof :)!

Enjoy your Saturday!

Valentine Card and Box- Glitter Style

My current favorite Stampin' Up! product is the Real Red Glitter paper.  I love the glittery paper and have been enjoying adding little splashes of glitter to my projects.  This is my absolute favorite Valentine's project so far this year.  Mainly it is because I love the color combination and of course, the GLITTER paper!

I cased this card from my downline Alisha, that cased it from someone else.  So, if you made this card, let me know I will give you credit for this gorgeous project.

Both of the projects were made with the Love Impressions DSP, Basic Gray CS, Real Red Ribbon and the Glitter Paper.  The box was made with the Box #2 die for the Big Shot.

Valentine's Day Series: Day 3- Friends Fur-Ever Card

I tried to branch out this weekend with different stamps sets than what I normally use and tried this doggie stamp set.  I have to say it felt good to try something different!  LOL  What do you think?  Not my usual, but for Valentine's Day I think it is acceptable to be a little cutesy and use animals, right!?!

Here is the recipe to today's card:

Stamps: Friends Fur-Ever
Ink: Black StazOn ink
Paper: Early Expresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Old Olive DSP, Real Red CS and Real Red Glitter Paper
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Small Heart Punch, Old Olive 1/4 ribbon, Stampin' Pastels

Can you tell I am loving my new small heart punch and the real red glitter paper?  It is so hard not to use it on these projects!

Enjoy Day 3!  Come back tommorrow morning for Day 4.

Valentine's Day Series: Day 2- Treat Bag

Today's project was inspired by my monthly Stampin' Success magazine that I get for being a Stampin Up! Demonstrator.  You know that feeling you get when you get a magazine in the mail, and that feeling when you get a gift in the mail, well combine that with my addiction to stamps and WELL...getting the Stampin' Success is on top of the list of my favorite things each month!!  It is full of creative ideas and tips.  One of the projects last month was very similar to this.  I filled my treat bag with a cello bag of red and pink M&Ms.

Here is the recipe:
Stamps: Love you Much
Ink: Real Read
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Real Red Glitter Paper
Accessories: Real Red satin ribbon, scallop circle punch, dimensionals

More Details:

This was super easy to make.  I took a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock.  I cut it down the middle on the long side (at 5.5).  Then I scored it on the long side at 4, and 8.  Then flipped it over to the short side and scored it at 3/4".  Then I stamped my sheet and to finish I put some sticky tape on the side and bottom to hold it firmly together.

If you need more clarification feel free to email me at mayramt@hotmail.com.

Enjoy Day 2!

Valentine's Day Series: Day 1- Sweetheart

Hello!

I know it has been a while since I have posted.  I have been busy with the holidays, a trip to Texas and a new job.  However, I always make time for stamping and create projects most nights a week (I just sometimes don't get around to posting them!).

Now that the holidays are over it is time to move on the the biggest cardmaking holiday of the year: Valentine's Day.  I love any holidays and was excited to have a new theme to work on.  For the next 5 days I will be posting all Valentine's projects and trying to inspire you to make your own handmade Valentine's this year.

Today's Project is a 5x5 card using the Sweetheart stamp set (120415 $21.95 wood/ 120780 $15.95 clear).  I love the big features in this card and all of the 3-D elements that really make this card pop.  I have made a variation of this for my husband for his Valentine's Card.  I like it that much.

Here is the recipe:
Stamps: Sweetheart
Ink: Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, Old Olive
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Red Glitter paper
Accessories: Twine, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (for Big Shot), dimensionals

Hope you enjoyed this project.  Stay tuned tommorrow morning for another one!

Valentine's Day Card and Treat Box

Welcome to my blog! In this blog I will be posting my stamping, scrapbooking, and paper crafting ideas and items for sale. I hope you enjoy it and get inspired to get creative! I am officially addicted to stamp/scrap/craft-ing! It is so much fun.
Here is a Valentine's Day card and treat box that I will be making for a few people that ordered them. I was under a major time constraint so I did not use Stampin' Up! supplies as I normally do. However, I think they are cute and can be filled with candy, cookies, or any other treats.
