Yesterday, we celebrated my baby girl's seventh birthday party! She is a little mini me when it comes to paper crafts and loves all the little details that make a party pretty ;) So, I am always compelled to make lots of little details to make her parties special.
So this week I'll be showcasing all the little details I did for the party.
Sunday- Invitation: Slide Out Moving Card and my first blog video!!
Tuesday- Goodie Boxes
Thursday- Birthday Banner and video #2!!
So here is the card and video on how to make it. Read on if you want to hear the WHOLE story ;)
When you pull out the card insert, THE BIKE MOVES!!
My first blog video (I'm no tech expert, but thought I'd give it a shot):
Here is the WHOLE story. My daughter and I were brainstorming a birthday party location and theme. I suggested Safetyville USA, a local place in Rancho Cordova, CA. It's a mini town that kids can play in and safely walk and ride bikes. It is really cute! We went to check it out and she loved it. Secretly, in the back of my mind, I thought...oh, I can use that cute Cycle Celebration stamp set that was in the new SU catalog. But, yes she loved it too. THEN, I went to convention and received a cute motorcycle swap card (shown in video) and thought....OMG, I can make a moving bike invitation! I was in love and so excited to get home and make it. (I always get the best ideas at Convention!). So there it is! Yes, stamps play a key role in my life!!! LOL
One of the highlights of Convention is getting TONS of new creative ideas. I signed up for three swaps this year: Wow/Moving Cards Swap, New Catalog Stamp Sets Swap, and of course, a Christmas swap (I love Christmas!). I like to do organized swaps because I feel that everyone is on somewhat the same page of how much effort to put into them and there are guidelines. Overall, I was really happy with the swaps I made and got in return.
Here are my swaps for this year:
Surprise Pop Up Card. I just loved the coffee cup and thought it would be perfect for the many Starbucks cards I give out ;)
Here is the recipe for this card:
New Catalog Stamp Set Swap
There is something about stars I love. This tag was somewhat of a case from the new catalog and I just added it to a card with an embossed background.
Here is the recipe:
Christmas Card Swap:
This card has some sneak peak products from the new catalog (stamps and dsp paper).
I hope you don't get tired of all these Convention shares....I have lots more!
