Throw a Party: #1

Welcome to my Throw a Party Week!

Yesterday, we celebrated my baby girl's seventh birthday party!  She is a little mini me when it comes to paper crafts and loves all the little details that make a party pretty ;) So, I am always compelled to make lots of little details to make her parties special.

So this week I'll be showcasing all the little details I did for the party.

Sunday- Invitation: Slide Out Moving Card and my first blog video!!

Tuesday- Goodie Boxes

Thursday- Birthday Banner and video #2!!

So here is the card and video on how to make it.  Read on if you want to hear the WHOLE story ;)

When you pull out the card insert, THE BIKE MOVES!!

My first blog video (I'm no tech expert, but thought I'd give it a shot):

Here is the WHOLE story.  My daughter and I were brainstorming a birthday party location and theme.  I suggested Safetyville USA, a local place in Rancho Cordova, CA.  It's a mini town that kids can play in and safely walk and ride bikes.  It is really cute!  We went to check it out and she loved it.  Secretly, in the back of my mind, I thought...oh, I can use that cute Cycle Celebration stamp set that was in the new SU catalog.  But, yes she loved it too.  THEN, I went to convention and received a cute motorcycle swap card (shown in video) and thought....OMG, I can make a moving bike invitation!  I was in love and so excited to get home and make it.  (I always get the best ideas at Convention!).  So there it is!  Yes, stamps play a key role in my life!!! LOL

Come back and check out the rest of my goodies!

  2. Not only is the invitation adorable, but your video was VERY WELL DONE! I heard no background noises and the video was very good and I totally understood all of your instructions very easily! Look forward to seeing more videos from you! Am sure your daughter and her friends loved (or will!!) the party!
