Happy Thanksgiving! and Last Minute Projects

It is Thanksgiving tommorrow and we are getting all of the last minute details ready in our home.  Of course, I always have stampin' projects that I do for every holiday, party, event, or just about any other reason!  I have lots of things to be thankful for this year, LOTS!  One new thing to be thankful for was the wonderful teachers that my girls have at their school.  I decided to show our appreciation to them with a stamped card set.  My girls also made a special card to include with the gift (maybe I will show it on another post- my 4 year old is pretty good!).
I used the Day of Gratitude stamp set for most of the cards and card portfolio and a retired hostess set for the "Give Thanks" stamp.  My colors were Cajun Craze, Early Expresso, More Mustard, Pumkin Pie and Old Olive.

I also used the same colors and stamps to make some favors for our family Thanksgiving.  I plan to put one on each plate on the Thanksgiving table.
The last project was one we made earlier in the week.  It was actually a family project- even my husband participated!  Actually it was his idea.  It was a project we had seen on a Martha Stewart show.  We used tamale hojas (corn husks) for the feathers.  Martha suggested we use push pens for the feathers but my husband added his own manly touch on it.  He pulled out his own power stapler and attached them with it.  Not a bad idea!  My 3 year old added her own touch on one of them.  She colors on everything!

I love sharing what I love and feel blessed to have friends that love it too!  Thanks for stopping by my site! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family and friends.
