So Many Thanks

One of the best parts of Convention was seeing all of the gorgeous display boards full of thousands of samples created by Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. For each of the free stamps that they gave us they created sample boards with ideas on how to use it. Here are a few display boards using the single stamp, "So Many Thanks". I love seeing how creative people get using the same item.
Enjoy!

Decoration Inspiration from Convention

I will be showing you plenty of card and paper craft ideas later this week from Convention. However, I thought I would focus today on the some decoration ideas. As you know, SU has a Definately Decorative line of home decor products. These include vinyl wall pieces and stencils. Above you can see a couple rooms using these products. The top one showcases one of SU's stencils on the wall. As you can see they stenciled the image all along the wall to look like wallpaper. I love it! I have that stencil and know know exactly what I am going to do with it.
The second photo shows off some of the vinyl pieces (the flowers on the wall in different colors) and the new chalkboard pieces (the lists). What a great idea for getting organized.
That is it for today. I came home from SLC with a cold and am not feeling so great. Come back tommorrow for more photos;)

Stampin' Up! 2010 Convention Highlights, part 1

I am back from Convention and WOW, OMG was it fun! I had heard lots of people talk about Convention and say how amazing it was. I can honestly say that it was just what I expected and hoped for. The 3 days were filled with lots of fun, music, ideas, demonstrations, more ideas, dancing, and more! I have so much to share with you....but I will start with sharing Day 1;)
We started our journey from Elk Grove, CA to Salt Lake City UT on Wednesday. It took us 11 hours to get there! That is 11 hours with constant potty brakes, lots of DVDs for my 2 and 3 year olds and lots of snacks. This was what the road looked like for about 10 of those hours. Oh my goodness, it felt like we were on a treadmill...moving forward but not getting anywhere :) LOL. My husband and kids are the best to tolerate all that for me. Thanks a bunch!

When I checked in on Thursday I was greated with treats! We received a Convention bag in a fun summery pattern. Inside were lots of goodies including 3 stamp sets (2 from the new catalog and 1 from the Holiday Mini that will be out in September) and a matching wheel. These are my new favorites sets. They even had multiple display boards showing tons of samples with these sets.

Of course, no visit to Convention is complete without vising the Momento Mall. The Momento Mall is like a souvenir shop for SU. They have a ton of cute stuff...but it sells fast! By the time I was ready to buy some of the stuff I wanted was sold out. Oh well, it is okay. I got this cute craft bag that will be really handy. It has lots of room for ink pads, punches, and even my 12" paper cutter and supplies. Isn't it cute!

Naturally there had to be some stamping at Convention. In day 1 I attended a Make and Take workshop were we made the projects below with my new stamp sets. We used lots of cool techniques to make these including sponging, using markers, tearing, versamark ink. I will give you lots of details throughout the week to these. For my club girls, a couple of these will be your projects this week!

This was just day ONE. I have lots more to share with you. Come back this week for more pictures and product ideas!
Plus, I will be announcing new Class Kits by Mail and Product Shares tommorrow. Stay tuned.

Tropical Party

Here is a card I made for my CSD class last Friday. It is a nice summer card using the Tropical Party stamp set from the Summer Mini. Enjoy.

Gift Card Holder

This is a simple gift card holder I made for my club last month. To make the inside slot I used the Wide Oval Punch and punched a half oval. I glued the inside flap using sticky strip. Sticky strip is the best adhesive choice for boxes, gift card holders, and other gift type items. It is more durable. The outer ribbon was tied in a tight bow after glueing the scallop edge and DSP.

Simple and Cute!

Topiary Card with Bouquet Bunch

Here are the details on the Topiary Card that I promised you. This card was made using the Bouquet Bunch stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog. Once you stamp your topiary leaves and pot, and the background on the card, follow the instructions below:

  • Cut out the leaves and pot.
  • Glue to your Whisper White CS with dimensionals.
  • Glue your matte pieces together.
  • Add ribbon to the Lavendar piece by tying it in a tight know.
  • Glue everything together and you are done!

June Stamp Club Projects

I had two stamp clubs last month. It was the first meeting of my Modesto Stamp Club. We all had a really good time. I love getting together with these girls. They are so much fun. Here are the projects we made (above). Our theme was Summer Fun. Don't you love the Lemonade card and Sweet Scoops card?

This month two of my Elk Grove club girls brought projects they made to share with the group. I love seeing the projects they make. Here they are:

This is Alisha, one of my downlines. She brought me these two cards. This is Colby. She and her mom are in my club. They duplicated some of our previous projects, but made them JUMBO size for a school gift. Adorable!

Stay tuned this week for details and instructions on the club projects!
