Washi Tape for Cards and Pages

Do you use washi tape?  Since my discovery of washi tape I have been quite a collector of it! My attraction to it was similar to that of designer series paper. I love the colors and patterns and love them all.  In the past, I would buy lots of it and not want to "waste" it.  I reserved them for special projects only!  Recently I have found several easy ways to incorporate washi tape on my cards.  Now I can justify buying more of it because I actually use it. 

For both of my projects I used the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape (144166/ $8).  I like this black and white set because I can combine it with lots of other colors and patterns.  Above is a card I made with washi tape as the accent.  I used this with the new Varied Vases bundle.  This was a super easy card to make with the stamp and punch combo. 

Below is a 2 page layout that I also made with the washi tape. Long are the days that I can (and want to) spend hours on one layout.  Now I am a big fan of the Memories and More line.  I like to use the cards in the pack in regular 12x12 page layouts.  I used a couple cards from the Delightfully Detailed Card Pack and the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape as accents to dress up the bare white pages.

Stamp and Punch with Crazy about You

It's no secret, I love to make pretty cards and paper crafts.  However, what I love even more is making pretty projects that look like they were hard to make- but they are not!  So, that is why I love punches.  They make card making easy.  Simply stamp and then punch out the image.  So easy!

I recently bought this stamp set "Crazy about You" and the "Flower Medallion Punch".  I love them! I have been making a few cards with the pair and love how easily they come together.  You can see from the picture about that I used the same basic layout (easy) for both cards, I just mixed up the colors and designer series paper.

Gift Card Holder

Hello!

Some people think gift cards are great, others think it is a lazy way to give a gift.  Personally, I LOVE to give and receive all gift cards!  But for those that think I didn't put much thought into it, I like to make a pretty holder to put it in.  That way, at least the card was thoughtful, right?!

Here is a gift card holder we made at my August events.  It is a little smaller than a regular card size (3 3/4 x 5 1/4).  I like this smaller size better for this.  It's easy to make, too.  You simple make a card and cut out a fun shape to use as the flap.  I used Stampin' Up!s Label framelits.  I also dressed it up with lots of embossing.  I think the ruffled flower also adds a little extra texture to it.  Ruffled flower instructions coming soom.
