Free Stamps Until March 31

From now until March 31: for every $50 you spend in products you get a free Sale-a-bration (SAB) stamp set or SAB product. Some of the free products include stamp sets, ribbon bundles, and designer series paper packs.

I made these cards using the free "Yummy" set in the SAB brochure. The larger card is your traditional 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 size card. The smaller card has two "top notes" glued together around the edges with an opening on the right hand side for a gift card or other note. I just loved the way these colors look together. To add some depth to the card I sponged some choclate chip around the top note and sponged some old olive on the kiwi kiss flower.

Recipe:

Stamps: Yummy (SAB)

Ink: Choclate Chip, Old Olive to distress the flower

Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Kraft, Choclate Chip

Accessories: Top Note die (for Big Shot), Ribbon Originals in Valet, Jumbo Brads 5/8", Vintage Brads, Simle Flower Embosslits Die

Fifth Avenue Floral

If you have been to our house you know that we love sweet sayings like the one found on this card: "You only live once, but if you do it right once is enough".

This card was really easy to make. It is a good "rookie" card meaning that if you are new to stamping you can easily and quickly do it. I used the Fifth Avenue Floral. I simply stamped different flowers in different colors on the white cardstock, stamped the greeting in the right upper corner, glued it on my choclate chip mat and then to card. I finished it off with a ribbon tied in a knot.

Recipe

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral

Inks: Choclate Chip, Baja Breeze, So Saffron

Paper: Whisper White, Choclate Chip, Baja Breeze

Accessories: Ribbon Originals-Dress Up (pg. 178 in IBAC)

Sizzix Simple Flower Embosslit

I made 50 of these cards for a card swap I had this past weekend. I choose a design that I liked and that would not take me days to complete. This project took me a only few hours broken down in small increments and many interuptions (mami, this, mami, that). I was impressed with how quickly I was able to get this done. The flowers were done using the "Sizzix Big Shot" from Stampin' Up! With the Big Shot you can create die-cut shapes, envelopes, tags, emboss and cut really easily. It makes projects so much easier.

Recipe

Paper: Kraft, Baja Breeze, Choclate Chip, Parisian Breeze DSP (designer series paper)

Ink: Choclate Chip

Stamps: Sweet Little Sentiments (Hostess set 2009)

Accessories: Sizzix Simple Flower, 1/4 punch, Choclate Chip 1/4" ribbon

Welcome to My Blog!

Hello and Welcome,

I created this blog a few weeks ago so that I can share my creative projects and perhaps inspire some of you to stamp/scrap/and do paper crafts. However, I am just sending this out to many of you. I am officially addicted and would love to have some friends join me.

A little about me: I have loved to do paper crafts for many years. Recently, I was able to stay at home with my two baby girls and in my spare time stamp/scrap/and craft. In October, I became a Stampin'Up! demonstrator. In a nutshell, I do stamping and scrapping workshops upon request in your home and you earn free stuff. I sell Stampin'Up! products and am available for creative ideas. I also teach occassional classes and do workshops in Elk Grove. I am also available to do custom invitations, cards, favors, etc upon request. See the link to the side for details. This blog is new so I am still adding more features and constructing it. I plan to post creative ideas a few times a week.

For those of you who think you would like to start this hobby but have no time, I am the prime example of making it work. Like I said, my girls are small, 1 and 2 year old. They have lots of demands (diapers, meals, playtime with mami, cuddletime, you name it!). But during their naps and sometimes at bedtime this is how I unwind from a long day, relax and have fun.

Please contact me if you are interested in learning more about Stampin', order some products, would like to host or attend a workshop, want to order some custom made invitations or favors, or just want some creative ideas.

Email me at mayramt@hotmail.com if you would like to hear from me periodically with events and promotions.

I have a lot of fun with this and hope you enjoy it!

Baby Shower

My sister in law's baby shower was yesterday. I had so much fun making her invitations, favors, a onesie bouquet and this onesie card. I love baby showers. I couldn't wait for today so that I could post them and share them with you. All of the items on this blog post are available for order. I can customize them with your event information and colors to match your theme and gender.

The onesie card is great for birth announcements or baby shower invitations. I seen a few variations of this on SCS and thought it was adorable.

The bib card below is ideal for a baby shower invitation. I got the idea for the bib card from another crafter, Patty Bennett.

This introducing card is a birth announcement. The baby picture would be mounted on the green cardstock and the baby's information (weight, birthdate, name, etc.) would be on the pull out tab with the blue ribbon.

This onesie bouquet is great for centerpieces. The best part is that after the shower the mom-to-be could remove the non-sticky tape, wash and use them for the new baby.

Prices for the above items are:

Invitations/Birth Announcements with information printed : $20 for 8, $35 for 16, $55 for 25, $2.00 each additional card

Invitations/Birth Announcements with fill in the blanks: $40 for 20, $2.00 each additional card

Candle Favors: $2.50 each, 15 minimum

Onesie Bouquet: email for price

All projects above can be done in either pink, blue, green or yellow. All orders must be pre-paid at http://www.paypal.com/. Four weeks notice is requested for projects. Shipping fees are not included in the above prices (I will work with you to get the lowest possible shipping/delivery fees).

Bath Salts Gift Tin

I love making things that are good for gifts or favors. Here is a bath salt tin that I made at my friend Carrie's house last week. The tin was a nut tin that she had saved (so resourceful!) and the bath salts were mixed by her.

Stamps: Punches Three (Hostess 2008)
Ink: Pacific Point

Simple Eastern Blooms

This week I am busy getting some last minute projects ready for my sister-in-laws baby shower. I can't wait to post them but I am waiting until the shower is over on Sunday to post them. I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise. I also have 45 cards to do for a card swap I am participating in.

This card is really simple and easy to make. I love using the baja breeze and choclate chip colors together.

Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Todo lo Mejor (Hostess, 2008)
Paper: Green Tea DSP (retired), Baja Breeze CS, Whisper White
Accessories: Whisper White 1/4 ribbon, scallop punch and square punch, dimensionals

Flight of the Butterfly

Here is a card tote with matching cards that I made while I was in LA. Inside the tote there are two pockets, one to hold a few cards and the other to hold envelopes. I love the way that this card turned out. I was not crazy about my "Flight of the Butterfly" stamp set until I made this card (which was the first card I made with this set). I love the butterflies. The picture is not great, but in the actual card the wings of the butterflies are folded forward giving it a 3D look.

Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly
Ink: Whisper White Craft
Paper: Baja Breeze CS, Pacific Point CS, Whisper White CS, Green Tea DSP (retired)
Accessories: Scallop Punch, Circle Punch, Velcro (for the purse closure)

Yesterday I got my shipment of new SU products I ordered from the new catalog. I was so excited to make some new projects. I ordered lots of new colors, paper, stamps, and accessories. In fact, I had to go out and buy a new storage cabinet to fit everything!
For this card I used the 5 Petal Punch to punch the flower out of the middle of the stamped circle. I love using punches.
Here is the recipe for this card (all Stampin' Up! products unless otherwise noted):

Valentine's Day Card and Treat Box

Welcome to my blog! In this blog I will be posting my stamping, scrapbooking, and paper crafting ideas and items for sale. I hope you enjoy it and get inspired to get creative! I am officially addicted to stamp/scrap/craft-ing! It is so much fun.
Here is a Valentine's Day card and treat box that I will be making for a few people that ordered them. I was under a major time constraint so I did not use Stampin' Up! supplies as I normally do. However, I think they are cute and can be filled with candy, cookies, or any other treats.
